Fall 2007 Bike Rally

Well here it is again, the semi-annual death by stupidity contest where we try and kill off as many of those loud #$%^& Harley's as we can. Cars pulling out in front of seemingly non existent motorcycles and bikers that think they can drink without repercussion. Reading the local papers/watching the local television seems more like a sports box score than real flesh and bleeding bipeds. "It's a good rally this year only three died so far" is heard more often than is comfortable.

Alright so maybe I am being a little bit harsh. So what's my problem with the rally? I don't ride a motorcycle (never have) no real reason for not I just never have. I don't understand what it means or feels like to ride free or the exhilaration of accelerating from zero to sixty in the blink of an eye, although I must admit it looks fun. Being a child of the 60s doesn't help the free spirit within. So back to my problem, I supposed I don't want to end up on the side of the road underneath some pickup truck. It's one thing to run into a tree or wall, its another to have somebody pull out in front of you because they weren't looking for a motorcycle to be on the road.

I live and work in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina home to the rally.

Virginia Tech

The Lord bless you, and keep you;
The Lord make His face shine on you, And be gracious to you;
The Lord lift up His countenance on you, And give you peace.

When will the pain end? My prayers are with you and your families. It is all I have and all I know to do. Lord, have mercy...

Tale of the Scale wk 8

Oops!!! up .4 lbs.

Remember how I was worried about losing too fast, well I am over that bit of fear. :-)

Did I walk? Yes!
Did I eat all of my daily points? Yes!
Did I use all of my flex points? Yes plus a few
Did I exercise? Yes 12 A.P.
Did I drink all of my water? Nope!
Still struggling with oils, though.

So what happened?
Short answer is: more in than out.
Stay away from buffets, went to a place called CiCi's, oops. I used all my flex points in one sitting. I know that's allowed, but I now know the danger of having no cushion to fall back on. Then there was a day I went over 8 points and didn't have the cushion. Sure sneaks up fast, don't it.

*** Goal for upcoming week. Keep doing the things I have been doing and add water.***

Start 299.8 lbs.
Current 281.8 lbs.
Total Loss: 18.0 lbs.
10% Goal 270.8 lbs.
